As a follow-up to the previous FREE YSL TOTE BAG posts, Elle has just named the date and locations of where these bags will be handed out.
Sure to create a frenzy, Yves Saint Laurent will be handing out limited edition cotton tote bags, designed by Stefano Pilati, to the first 5,000 passers-by in New York, London, Milan, Tokyo and Hong Kong on September 6th. The promotion is to highlight Pilati’s third "Manifesto" photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, which features Naomi Campbell (you have seen the ads in every major fashion magazine lately) in the Fall/Winter 2008-2009 collection. Over half a million copies of the Manifesto will be distributed along with the totes.
If you do happen to find yourself in the Big Apple this Saturday, an insider at the company told us to be on the lookout in Times Sqaure, Bryant Park and Soho. I know I will!
