Preppy label GANT has collaborated with famous street fashion photographer Scott Schuman aka The Sartorialist for a series of photos featuring 10 New Yorkers picking out their favorite pieces from the A/W 08 Gant collection, and mixing it with their own wardrobe items to reflect their personal style. The state of Minnesota, and the music of Prince.

Weekend lunch with my Mother Christine Steffen Huelster and when I have no work on Monday, Sunday night at Sway is the best. Anytime it snows in the city is magic.

Preppy chic, eclectic, colorful, relaxed and versatile with a penchant for accessories.

What are a few of your hobbies?
What do you love in life? My hobbies are flying, scuba diving, cooking, traveling, surfing, and yoga. There is not much about life that I don't enjoy. I love listening to babies laugh. I love being so full of food after an amazing meal with best friends. I love waking up to a new day. I love the first sip of a beautiful bottle of wine. I love the smell of coffee in the morning. I love the fragrant scent of Frangipani as soon as you step off the plane in Hawaii. I love catching a good surf and riding it all the way to shore. I love riding my Vespa around Manhattan and catching a string of green lights.

Do you have an obsession?
My two cats.

Can't say I do. If I had to choose, I guess it would be Catherine Malandrino

What is your favorite place in New York City?
Home with my cats and my boyfriend.

Anyone that has turned his or her life around.

Central Park but I don’t get to visit enough. I especially dig that odd roller rink extravaganza.

If you could live anywhere else, would you? If so where?
I would live somewhere else, but only for work, with the caveat that I could come back to New York after a year.

Sophisticate school marm meets Patti Smith and classic 70’s minimalism.

Do you have an obsession?
I have a few of them, I’m sure. The perfect white t-shirt, the scones at Balthazar, owning a Jack Pierson collection, my Boston Terrier, Ziggy, and the certain artist of my fancy right now.

Do you have a fashion or style icon?
There are so many. They run the range from the great Karl Lagerfeld, to this wonderful, not all there man in my neighborhood, who, in his own way, always looks like he just stepped off a Margiela or Yohji runway.

What is your favorite place in New York City?
The center of the Brooklyn Bridge. It always reminds me of where I’ve come from and where I’m going.

What can’t you leave your apt without?
The two two-finger rings given to me years ago by my jewelry designer, Anna Sheffield. They perfectly capture the contrast between my street savvy and gentle nature. One is silver, one is gold and, for two-finger rings, quite delicate. They are shaped like twigs and compliment everything.
